CenterPoint Energy Multifamily Water and Space Heating Program
This Program is intended to provide incentives to multifamily project developers who install gas or other non-electric water heating systems in multifamily residences.
In the single-family residential sector, electric resistance water heating and space heating systems have a high penetration rate, even though their selection results in higher operating costs than some other non-electric alternatives. Currently, electric resistance water heating and space heating systems are present in most multifamily properties, primarily because of the lower initial costs associated with their installation. CNP is implementing this Program to help overcome this market barrier and to help increase the awareness of water and space heating options for multifamily customers.
